Context
One hundred and fifty people fill the Meistersaal on September 10, 2007. The scale is small for the former Dire Straits leader, but it suits the occasion: Mark Knopfler presents songs from Kill to Get Crimson a few days before his fifth solo album hits stores.
On stage, Knopfler brings together Guy Fletcher, Danny Cummings, Luke Brighty and Dudley Phillips. Let It All Go, The Fizzy and the Still and True Love Will Never Fade form the new core of the performance. Around them, Rüdiger and Done With Bonaparte revisit Golden Heart; Brothers in Arms closes the television cut.
The performance is broadcast by RBB on September 21, in an eight-song edit that leaves two performances out. The promotion in small rooms comes before the 2008 tour of Europe and North America. The recording preserves this interval: the new songs are already on stage, but the bigger trip has yet to begin.
- Brothers in Arms closes the eight-song television edit.
