Context
In June 2023, Pawns & Kings takes Alter Bridge through the European festivals. After Sweden Rock and a show in Stockholm, the quartet arrives in Dessel. The Graspop stop takes place on the 15th, with an hour-long program of ten songs spread across five albums.
Silver Tongue opens the show and introduces the most recent cycle. Sin After Sin sits in the middle of the run, between Come to Life and Blackbird. Addicted to Pain and Cry of Achilles revisit Fortress; Ghost of Days Gone By and Isolation represent AB III. Metalingus comes before the close with Rise Today.
The intro to Blackbird includes the Beatles song of the same name. The program wraps its selection without the Pawns & Kings title track, even though the tour carries that name. The broadcast preserves a slice of the 2023 era, before the self-titled album that would arrive in January 2026.
