Context
In 1985, Andre Matos watched the first Rock in Rio as a teenager, the same year his story with Viper began. On September 22, 2013, he takes the Sunset stage with two sides of that journey: his solo band and his former bandmates, reunited since the year before.
Liberty opens the set from The Turn of the Lights era. Fairy Tale and Lisbon go through Shaman and Angra, while Angels Cry and Carry On mark twenty years since Angra's debut. Living for the Night signals Viper's entrance, with Felipe Machado, Pit Passarell and Guilherme Martin alongside Matos and Hugo Mariutti.
We Will Rock You closes the stage shared by the two bands. After the festival, the solo tour continues through 2014, extending the Angels Cry celebration. The broadcast recording preserves another slice: not the full album, but a gathering of phases that brings Matos back to the festival he first knew from the crowd.
- We Will Rock You brings the solo band and Viper together at the close.
