Why watch

“To follow Creed's return in an acoustic session, after twelve years away from the stage together.”

Context

In 2024, Creed returns to the stage after a twelve-year break. The comeback starts in April, on the Summer of ’99 cruise, and moves to another setting in June: the SiriusXM studios in New York. The band trades the arena for an acoustic session in front of an audience.

The event is called Reunited and Unplugged. The station's program gathers six songs and a conversation with Covino about the band's new popularity. My Own Prison, With Arms Wide Open and Higher link the session to the passage from the 1990s into the 2000s.

The special reaches SiriusXM Turbo's programming in August, when the reunion is already well into its 2024 shows. The station makes the session and the interview available on its platform. The recording marks the comeback in another format, with the acoustic songs filling the space between the return and the big shows.
