Context
For the third weekend in a row, Orville Peck is in the Indio desert. After his two Coachella appearances, he arrives at Stagecoach on April 30, 2022. Bronco had come out three weeks earlier. Now the singer takes the Palomino stage in the late-night slot, after headliner Carrie Underwood.
Daytona Sand opens the way for a ten-song set that brings the new album together with Pony and Show Pony. Peck puts down the guitar and sits at the piano for Drive Me, Crazy. Bria Salmena shares Legends Never Die with him. Dead of Night comes before Bronco, and Take You Back closes the show.
After Indio, the Bronco Tour moves on to Austin and San Antonio and runs through the following months. The Stagecoach recording starts as a live stream, preserving an early stage of that run. Half the songs come from the freshly released album: a concentrated snapshot of the moment Bronco starts to hit the road.
- Bria Salmena shares Legends Never Die with Peck, who also takes the piano on Drive Me, Crazy.
