Context
In 2002, the Tivoli Theatre in downtown Chattanooga hosts Travis Tritt with a career of hits already behind him. The night has the scale of a theater and the material for a retrospective: eight Top 10 singles make the program, among his own songs and others he made part of his repertoire.
Tritt opens with Put Some Drive in Your Country and runs through I'm Gonna Be Somebody and Where Corn Don't Grow before reaching the acoustic core. Anymore, Country Ain't Country and Long Haired Country Boy narrow the focus to voice and acoustic guitar. David Northrup holds down the drums in the band.
In the home stretch, Country Club meets Strong Enough to Be Your Man, and T-R-O-U-B-L-E comes before Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde. Homesick closes the show. Directed by Jon Small, the night gets a DVD release in 2004: a stage portrait that keeps both the hits and the turn to the acoustic format.
- Anymore, Country Ain't Country and Long Haired Country Boy form the acoustic core of the show.
