Context
On June 12, 2015, Drones has just hit stores, and Muse takes the Friday headlining slot at Pinkpop. At Megaland in Landgraaf, the band brings the new album to the European festival circuit without leaving behind the songs that anchored its earlier shows.
Psycho opens the show, and Dead Inside, Mercy and Reapers offer other selections from the album. Between them come New Born, Hysteria and Apocalypse Please. The outros incorporate riffs from other bands, from AC/DC to Rage Against the Machine. Madness breaks the flow: Chris Wolstenholme's out-of-tune bass forces the band to start over.
The next day, the schedule moves on to Download in England. The Drones campaign continues into 2016, but this night's recording follows its own path: initially, only Psycho and Mercy are available as professional footage. In February 2026, the official Pinkpop archive makes the full concert available, bringing together the pieces of that appearance.
- Madness starts over after an interruption caused by Chris Wolstenholme's out-of-tune bass.
