“To see the Conspirators at Pinkpop in 2015, during their second tour under that name, promoting World on Fire.”
Context
On June 12, 2015, Slash arrives at Megaland, in Landgraaf, with a band already on its second tour under the name Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. World on Fire is the reason for the trip. Pinkpop offers a ten-song cross-section of recent work and the guitarist's earlier groups.
You're a Lie opens the show, and Nightrain soon pulls the past onto the stage. Kennedy takes the vocals, with Frank Sidoris on rhythm guitar, Todd Kerns on bass and Brent Fitz on drums. The Dissident and World on Fire hold the center; Anastasia comes before the final run of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver.
The professional footage is already circulating the next day, while the tour continues until November. That same week brings the release of Live at the Roxy 25.9.14, recorded months earlier in Los Angeles. They are distinct records of the same phase: the club holds an extended set; Pinkpop condenses that trajectory into less than an hour.
- Slither links Sweet Child O' Mine to Paradise City in the final run.
