Anouk Teeuwe was born in The Hague and began her career singing in bands and doing backing vocals. In 1997, she released Together Alone, which made her name in the Netherlands and other countries, driven by the single “Nobody’s Wife”.
Later, Urban Solitude cemented her place in the Dutch market. Over the years, she alternated guitar rock with more song-focused records. In 2013, she represented the Netherlands at Eurovision with “Birds”.
