Context
On June 5, 2006, Soulfly arrives in Landgraaf with Dark Ages still recent. The fifth record had brought Max Cavalera back toward thrash, without dropping the references that run through the band. At Megaland, this phase finds room alongside songs from the four previous albums.
Babylon opens the performance, and Prophecy comes right after. Marc Rizzo shares guitars with Max, while Bobby Burns and Joe Nunez complete the quartet. Roots Bloody Roots and Refuse/Resist bring the Sepultura past to the stage. Richie Cavalera joins in on the Bleed / Tree of Pain medley, before the final run.
Eye for an Eye closes the set, but the recording keeps circulating after the festival. In July of that year, Dutch broadcaster VPRO already makes a filmed excerpt and the full audio of the performance available. The footage preserves the meeting between the Dark Ages tour and the catalog built up since the debut.
