Context
On June 5, 2006, Deftones makes its third visit to Pinkpop with a new record still to come. Saturday Night Wrist only arrives in October, after sessions marked by internal tensions. In Landgraaf, Beware already takes its place among the songs that built the band's identity.
Korea opens the show, and My Own Summer follows right behind. Chino Moreno shares the stage with Stephen Carpenter, Chi Cheng, Abe Cunningham and Frank Delgado. Max Cavalera comes in on Headup, reviving the partnership from the original recording. At the end, Root and Nosebleed lead into the run of 7 Words, Birthmark and its reprise.
In the following months, Saturday Night Wrist hits the streets and widens the cycle of shows around the world. The professional Pinkpop recording stands as a portrait of this stretch between records, still with Cheng on bass. In November 2025, the festival archive makes the full set available, also preserving the meeting with Cavalera.
- Headup brings together Chino Moreno and Max Cavalera, also partners on the original recording.
- Beware previews Saturday Night Wrist ahead of the album's release.
