Context
On July 18, 2025, Baden in Blut celebrates twenty years with a sold-out crowd in Weil am Rhein. Run by volunteers, the festival books Soulfly as Friday's headliner. The Spirit Animal Tour reaches the Dreiländergarten with Max Cavalera up front and Chase Bryant newly on bass.
Seek 'n' Strike opens the way for Prophecy and No Hope = No Fear. The set leans hard on the early albums, while Mike DeLeon moves around the stage and Zyon Cavalera takes the drums. Max swaps guitar for berimbau before Tribe. At the end, Jumpdafuckup comes in shortened and Eye for an Eye gets a fan on vocals.
Nihilist points toward Chama, the album that arrives in October of that year, after this European run. The recording preserves something else: footage shot for the video screen, with no post-production, its sound limitations acknowledged by the organizers. Between the new material and the 1998 titles, the band's meeting with a festival built on collective work is documented.
- Max Cavalera introduces Tribe with a berimbau solo.
- Eye for an Eye closes the show with a fan on vocals.
