“To see Roger Hodgson's first visit to Bulgaria, with his band on the Breakfast in America tour.”
Context
On July 1, 2014, Sofia welcomes Roger Hodgson for the first time. The meeting takes place at the National Palace of Culture, during the Breakfast in America tour. It is not Supertramp on stage: it is the band's former singer and songwriter, backed by the group that carries his songs on the road.
Take the Long Way Home opens the set, followed by School. The selection brings Breakfast in America and The Logical Song together with If Everyone Was Listening and Child of Vision. Hodgson leads the night with Aaron Macdonald, Kevin Adamson, David J. Carpenter and Bryan Head, the lineup that backs him in this period.
After Sofia, the itinerary moves on to the United States, with shows in Snoqualmie and Naperville. The 48-minute cut keeps nine of the seventeen songs documented that night. Dreamer sets up the final stretch; Give a Little Bit and It's Raining Again preserve the close of the concert, without representing its full length.
