Context
Brother is only a few weeks from reaching stores when Morten Harket walks into NRK's Studio 1, in Oslo. On February 24, 2014, about two hundred people watch the taping. Part of the set is new even to the band, which had learned some of the songs only days before.
The edit opens with Whispering Heart and intersperses songs with conversation. Brother and Do You Remember Me? fill the first block. Spanish Steps and A Kind of Christmas Card revisit Wild Seed, while There Is a Place closes the program. The special brings two phases of the solo career together in six songs.
During the taping, Brother and Do You Remember Me? get extra takes for television. Safe with Me is also performed, but is left out of the aired edit. The program airs in April, close to the release of Brother. The session captures the new songs before they circulate on an album.
