Context
Bloodstock's opening Thursday gets King 810 after a schedule change. On August 10, 2023, the group from Flint takes the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Catton Park. Follow My Tears had arrived in January and supplies two songs for the performance.
Barbed wire, flags, and platforms at different heights surround the band. David Gunn takes the mic on a stage that turns the tent's structure into scenery. Brains on the Asphalt and Widdershins meet Alpha & Omega and Fat Around the Heart; Killem All closes the nine-song sequence before fans gathered at the front.
The festival appearance also carries on beyond Catton Park. In September, footage from the performance appears in the music video for Widdershins, connecting the new material to the stage experience. The full concert film preserves this meeting of stage production and songs from different eras, without reducing the night to the latest release.
- Barbed wire and platforms at different heights make up the stage setup on the Sophie Lancaster Stage.
