Protest the Hero

Protest the Hero emerged in Whitby, Ontario, in the late 1990s, still under the name Happy Go Lucky, and adopted its current name before releasing the EP A Calculated Use of Sound. Kezia, from 2005, introduced the band to a larger audience; Fortress, released in 2008, cemented its place in progressive metal. After Volition and Pacific Myth, the group returned with Palimpsest in 2020 and released Within in 2025.
