Context
On May 26, 2012, the Hammersmith Apollo hosts the final stop of a journey announced as a farewell to large-scale world tours. Judas Priest arrives in London with another change already absorbed: Richie Faulkner fills the guitar spot left by K. K. Downing before the tour began.
Rob Halford leads the way while Faulkner shares guitars with Glenn Tipton, over Ian Hill's bass and Scott Travis's drums. Rapid Fire opens the live setlist. Never Satisfied reaches the start of the discography; Prophecy brings in Nostradamus. Travis gets his solo before Painkiller, and Faulkner carves out his own space in You've Got Another Thing Comin'.
The farewell doesn't become final: two years later, the band returns to the road with the Redeemer of Souls Tour. The London finale reaches theaters, DVD and Blu-ray in 2013, under the name Epitaph. The film preserves that interval between the intention to close a cycle and the decision to continue.
- Scott Travis leads into Painkiller with a drum solo; Richie Faulkner takes the spotlight on You've Got Another Thing Comin'.
