Judas Priest

Judas Priest emerged in Birmingham, England, in 1969, and released Rocka Rolla in 1974, still far from the success to come. Sad Wings of Destiny defined part of the path, and British Steel, in 1980, opened doors for the band outside the UK.

Screaming for Vengeance widened that reach; Painkiller, in 1990, marked a faster phase. Rob Halford left in 1992 and returned in 2003, and the group kept releasing records and touring.
