Context
A Pele do Futuro takes Gal Costa on a new run of shows after the 2018 album. In March 2019, two performances at Casa Natura Musical, in São Paulo, are recorded for an audiovisual release. Marcus Preto conceives a program divided into three acts, with musical direction by Pupillo.
The first block brings together songs tied to the 1960s and 1970s. Then the program moves through love and heartbreak, before reaching the dance numbers. Mãe de Todas as Vozes and Palavras no Corpo sit alongside Vaca Profana and Chuva de Prata. O Que É Que Há appears as a meeting between Gal and Chicão's piano.
The DVD is directed by Henrique Carvalhães and Rafael Gomes, with set and lighting by Omar Salomão. The March 22 and 23 recordings preserve this structure in acts. The film captures the continuity between recent material and revisited songs, with a band assembled for the tour.
