Context
On May 9, 2021, Mother's Day lunch brings sertanejo and samba together. Daniel and Alexandre Pires meet on a historic farm dating to 1868 in rural São Paulo. Amid the pandemic, the celebration reaches families online and launches the Samba, Sertão & Brasa project.
The two share more than four hours of songs, conversation, and barbecue. Fricote leads into Delírios de Amor; later, Mineirinho and Sai da Minha Aba appear together. Estou Apaixonado, Usted Se Me Llevó la Vida, and Depois do Prazer carry the final stretch before Pra Ser Feliz closes the show.
The gathering also looks beyond the farm. During the broadcast, the singers announce performances in Florianópolis, Ribeirão Preto, Campina Grande do Sul, Campinas, and Porto Alegre. The partnership begins as an at-home celebration and is already preparing its move to the stage. The recording remains a document of that beginning, before the project meets an in-person audience.
