Context
On October 22, 2022, Ana Mametto returns to Pelourinho, where her musical work began. Her debut in the series Só Se For Por Amor had raised her profile as an actress. At Largo Quincas Berro D’Água, the return answers audience requests and puts Afro-Brazilian rhythms back at the center.
Under the musical direction of Yacoce Simões, the singer brings together drums, percussion, bass, guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals. Evidências crosses the boundaries of sertanejo in a samba-reggae version. Respeito, written for her by Pierre Onassis, shares space with Olodum medleys and sambas de roda. Three percussionists from Escola do Olodum take part in the evening.
The performance receives an audiovisual release on December 30 of that year, with video direction by Marcus Maia and music production by Yacoce. In January 2023, the show returns to Pelourinho for summer rehearsals, now at Largo Pedro Archanjo. The recording preserves the return to her roots as the starting point for another season.
