“To see Daniel bring together generations of sertanejo in a tribute to forty years of his career and his partnership with João Paulo.”
Context
Twenty-five years after João Paulo's death, Daniel returns to the songs they shared. On December 21, 2022, Vibra São Paulo hosts a celebration of four decades of his career. At the center of the gathering is not just the singer who remains, but the partnership cut short in 1997.
Onstage, the guests take turns singing harmony with Daniel. Chitãozinho & Xororó, Luan Santana, and Maiara & Maraisa bring generations of sertanejo together. Estou Apaixonado brings the cast together as João Paulo's face appears on a stage waterfall. The tribute also takes on a family presence with Jéssica dos Reis and Zé Camillo.
The recording reaches audiences in volumes throughout 2023 and accompanies a tour dedicated to the duo's memory. In October 2026, the Deluxe edition expands this gathering with the full show and previously unreleased remarks. The forty-year celebration thus preserves room for the conversations between songs.
- Jéssica dos Reis and Zé Camillo bring the history of both families to the stage.
