Context
Que Tal um Samba? brings Chico Buarque back to a program that joins political songs, city scenes and personal relationships. Mônica Salmaso takes part in the show, building duets and interventions throughout the performance. In February 2023, two nights at Vivo Rio are filmed to capture this stage partnership.
Luiz Cláudio Ramos handles musical direction, arrangements and conducting, as well as playing electric and acoustic guitar. João Rebouças, Jorge Helder, Jurim Moreira, Chico Batera, Bia Paes Leme and Marcelo Bernardes complete the credited band. Daniela Thomas's set is part of the show's concept, which keeps the name of the song released in 2022.
The February 3 and 4 performances form the basis of the audiovisual release. The film documents the tour and the vocal meeting with Salmaso. The edit gathers the stage work in a recording of its own, separate from the later posting on YouTube.
