Context
In August 2017, Soilwork arrives on the grounds of Catton Park with a recent change on drums. Bastian Thusgaard, who took over live duties after Dirk Verbeuren's departure, is now a permanent member. On Friday at Bloodstock, the band takes the Ronnie James Dio Stage before Decapitated.
The Ride Majestic opens a nine-song set. Björn Strid urges the crowd to move, while Sylvain Coudret and David Andersson share guitar duties. The Living Infinite I comes in the first third; Bastard Chain takes the set back to an earlier era. Death in General puts the 2015 album back at the center of the performance.
Stabbing the Drama closes the forty-minute set, still ahead of the next studio album. Verkligheten arrives in 2019 and marks Thusgaard's recording debut with the band. The full concert footage preserves this interval: Soilwork has already changed its rhythm section, but still holds the stage with songs from earlier lineups.
