Context
On June 20, 2026, the stop in Clisson carries an announced farewell that is still in motion. After presenting its last studio album, Megadeth arrives at Hellfest with new material among the classics. Dave Mustaine shares the stage with Teemu Mäntysaari, James LoMenzo and Dirk Verbeuren.
Tipping Point opens the night before Hangar 18 and Take No Prisoners. The quartet alternates I Don't Care and Let There Be Shred with songs that span decades: Hook in Mouth, Mechanix and A Tout le Monde. Rust in Peace takes five slots, including Tornado of Souls and the closing Holy Wars... The Punishment Due.
The road continues after the festival, with Istanbul among the next stops and shows alongside Iron Maiden on the horizon. ARTE Concert's footage is released in July, preserving the night's fifteen songs. The film captures a farewell still open, in which the last record finds room without replacing the past.
