Context
Eleven years separate this Friday from Flotsam and Jetsam's previous appearance at Bloodstock. On August 8, 2025, the Phoenix group returns to the Ronnie James Dio Stage at Catton Park, with I Am the Weapon still fresh and a summer tour of Europe ahead.
Hammerhead opens the set, followed by Iron Maiden and Dreams of Death. Eric A.K. Knutson handles vocals between the guitars of Michael Gilbert and Steve Conley, with Bill Bodily on bass and Ken Mary on drums. Primal and A New Kind of Hero place the recent album among songs from the 1980s.
No Place for Disgrace closes the performance, but the journey continues: over the next two days, the band plays Krawall'o'Rock in Germany and Alcatraz in Belgium. The full Bloodstock recording preserves this English stop in around 45 minutes, with eight songs and without turning the reunion into a retrospective devoted exclusively to the early albums.
- Primal and A New Kind of Hero share space with three songs from No Place for Disgrace.
