Flotsam and Jetsam

Flotsam and Jetsam formed in Phoenix, Arizona, and released Doomsday for the Deceiver in 1986, a debut that introduced the band to the thrash metal circuit. Jason Newsted left the group after the album to join Metallica; the band continued with No Place for Disgrace and, later, Cuatro, which marked a move toward alternative metal.

After periods of reduced activity, the band returned to recording and released The End of Chaos, Blood in the Water and I Am the Weapon.
