Context
Sixteen years separate Nevermore from its last British performance. On August 8, 2026, the reunion takes place at Bloodstock, where the band played in 2007. Jeff Loomis and Van Williams return with three new members, including Berzan Önen in place of Warrel Dane, who died in 2017.
On the Ronnie James Dio Stage, Beyond Within opens a ten-song set. The initially scattered crowd grows throughout the set, while two guitars and double-bass drumming keep up the pressure. Dead Heart in a Dead World supplies half the tracks; The Heart Collector makes room for melody between Engines of Hate and Born.
The return also points toward new material, already in preparation by the reunited lineup. In October, the full performance is released on video, with audio from the festival's own live sound mix, without subsequent multitrack reconstruction. The recording captures a concrete transition: the catalog remains at the center, but a different lineup is now carrying it forward.
- The Heart Collector sits at the center of a set featuring five songs from Dead Heart in a Dead World.
