Mônica Salmaso is one of the great interpreters of contemporary Brazilian music, with a low, precise, unaffected voice. Born in São Paulo, she debuted in 1995 with Afro-Sambas, alongside guitarist Paulo Bellinati, revisiting Baden Powell and Vinicius de Moraes.
Since then, she has moved through Guinga, Chico Buarque and the roots songbook on albums such as Trampolim, Iaiá and Corpo de Baile, and during the pandemic she created the series Ô de Casas, with musicians recording remotely.
