Tour albumPra Gente Acordar2022 · Pra Gente AcordarThe debut album gives its name to the tour that takes the trio back to the United States in May 2025.“To see Gilsons on their second visit to the United States, during the American leg of Pra Gente Acordar.”
Context
A year after their first tour of the United States, Gilsons return to the country with more road behind them. On May 8, 2025, Miami Beach hosts the second stop of a ten-city run. The performance is part of the MUNDO series, a partnership between Live Arts Miami and the Rhythm Foundation.
Francisco, João and José Gil share vocals and instruments, backed by Ricardo Guerra's percussion and Junior Abreu's trumpet. Pra Gente Acordar opens the night. The run passes through Algum Ritmo, Devagarinho and Proposta, crosses Swing de Campo Grande and Várias Queixas and finds a family closer in Palco.
After Miami Beach, the trip continues to Hartford and New York, before crossing the country to California. The season extends the international path opened in 2024. The recording gets its own multicamera edit and mix, preserving in 91 minutes an American leg of the Pra Gente Acordar cycle.
- Palco closes the night with a song by José's father, Francisco and João's grandfather.
