Context
On May 16, 2005, Beth Hart meets the Pinkpop crowd on the main stage at Megaland, in Landgraaf. Leave the Light On had already widened her presence in the Netherlands. The festival appearance coincides with the year of Live at Paradiso, a recording of another show on Dutch soil.
Beth spends much of the show at the electric piano, but she also steps out from behind the instrument and moves toward the crowd. Hiding Under Water opens an eleven-song sequence. Broken & Ugly and Get Your Shit Together share space with the title track of Leave the Light On; House of Sin closes the performance.
Dutch television includes Monkey Back, World Without You and House of Sin in that day's coverage. The full performance remains preserved in the festival's audiovisual archive. In 2007, 37 Days opens the next chapter of her discography; Pinkpop stands as a single meeting between Beth and that stage, with no second appearance at the event.
- Beth leaves the electric piano to move toward the front rows.
