Context
On August 12, 2018, Fozzy takes the Ronnie James Dio Stage to close the European leg of the Judas Rising Tour. Judas had expanded the band's reach on American radio. At Catton Park, the group finds a festival that also makes room for its hard rock with melodic choruses.
Chris Jericho covers the entire stage, climbs onto the monitors and asks the crowd to sing. Judas opens the performance as the signature song of this phase. Drinkin' with Jesus, Burn Me Out and Lights Go Out sustain the blend of heaviness and pop appeal, while Rich Ward shares guitar duties with Billy Grey.
The European farewell does not end the Judas cycle. After Bloodstock, the schedule still points to another run through the United States and more touring. The festival recording preserves this moment of expansion: a band turning one song's success into fuel to stay on the road.
