Context
On August 11, 2019, Queensrÿche arrives on Bloodstock's main stage with a higher slot on the bill. The illness that forces Dimmu Borgir out of the festival changes the scale of the evening. The band brings The Verdict, its third album with Todd La Torre, but focuses the set on its earlier catalog.
Blood of the Levant opens the show and gives way to I Am I and NM 156. Michael Wilton and Parker Lundgren share guitar duties, with Eddie Jackson on bass and Casey Grillo on drums. La Torre moves through Queen of the Reich and Take Hold of the Flame before the final stretch.
After Bloodstock, the tour heads to Norwich and London. The recording preserves eleven songs and a clear choice: to present the new material without displacing the old pillars. Jet City Woman and Empire lead into the closing Eyes of a Stranger, which incorporates Anarchy-X and gives Operation: Mindcrime the final word.
- Eyes of a Stranger closes the show with an Anarchy-X ending.
