Context
On May 16, 2005, closing Pinkpop falls to a band that already knows the ground. It is Faithless's fifth visit to the Landgraaf festival. After The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy closed the previous nights, the group completes a trio of electronic acts at the top of the bill.
On stage, Maxi Jazz handles vocals and Sister Bliss runs the keyboards, backed by guitar, bass, drums and percussion. Sweep opens an eighteen-song run. No Roots takes its place among Reverence, Insomnia and God Is a DJ; I Want More appears in two parts, and Salva Mea is saved for the encore.
The set lives on beyond Megaland: a few days later, it joins the lineup of full concerts on the digital channel 3VOOR12 On Stage. The recording preserves the meeting between a band that keeps returning to the festival and the era of its fourth album. It is not a debut on unfamiliar ground, but the closing of a relationship already in place.
- Salva Mea closes the encore after We Come 1.
