“To see the 40th anniversary celebration of Legend reach Gaasperpark on the tour's European leg.”
Context
Forty years separate Legend from Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Gaasperpark in Amsterdam. The Wailers arrive at the Reggae Lake Festival during the European leg of the compilation's anniversary tour. At the head of the group are Aston Barrett Jr., as musical leader, and Mitchell Brunings, on vocals.
On stage, the selection moves across different sides of Bob Marley's songbook. No Woman, No Cry opens the recording, followed by Stir It Up and Waiting in Vain. I Shot the Sheriff and Satisfy My Soul widen the route. Three Little Birds meets One Love in a medley; Redemption Song appears near the end.
After Amsterdam, the European schedule continues on other stages, while the band prepares another chapter in the studio. Evolution arrives on August 30, less than two weeks after the festival. The footage preserves this interval between celebrating an inherited catalog and the continuity of a band that also releases new material.
