Context
In May 1997, Dutch-language rap gains ground among the guitars of Pinkpop. Osdorp Posse arrives in Landgraaf after Afslag Osdorp entered the national Top 20 and after the collaboration with Nembrionic. Geendagsvlieg is already in stores, widening the group's ties with other musicians.
At Megaland, the group holds two slots on the bill: it plays on Sunday and returns on Monday, this time on the main stage. Def P leads the rap, backed by the core of IJsblok, King and Seda. Playing on consecutive days gives concrete shape to the space nederhop has won inside the festival.
That same year, the founding of RAMP Records opens a path of its own for the following releases. In 1998, Oud en nieuw closes the Djax chapter. The Pinkpop appearance remains preserved in the audiovisual archive of the Dutch public broadcasters: a document of Dutch-language rap moving onto the big stages.
