Context
On August 12, 2017, Hatebreed returns to Bloodstock for the third time. The Ronnie James Dio stage hosts the band on the tour for The Concrete Confessional, released the previous year. The debut Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire turns twenty, but the group starts with the present.
A.D. and Looking Down the Barrel of Today open the set before a dive into the catalog. Jamey Jasta leads the crowd with messages of positivity, while Wayne Lozinak and Frank Novinec share guitar duties, Chris Beattie handles bass, and Matt Byrne plays drums. Last Breath and Empty Promises revisit the first album.
I Will Be Heard closes the band's appearance in Walton-on-Trent. In the following months, the band takes a celebration of the debut's twentieth anniversary and the fifteenth anniversary of Perseverance to the stage. The festival footage preserves a different balance: two tracks from the recent album open the set, with the rest of the band's history filling nearly the entire hour.
