Context
On August 14, 2016, Unearth arrives for Bloodstock's Sunday lineup with a change behind the drums. Nick Pierce is recovering from back surgery, and Jordan Mancino takes over for the summer dates. On the Ronnie James Dio stage at Catton Park, the band stays on the road during its drummer's absence.
Trevor Phipps leads ten songs, with Buz McGrath and Ken Susi on guitars and Chris O'Toole on bass. The Great Dividers opens a set that reserves four slots for The Oncoming Storm. The Swarm and Never Cease bring Watchers of Rule into the performance; My Will Be Done closes the set.
The European itinerary continues after the English festival, still with Mancino on drums. The full recording is released in November of that year, preserving this temporary lineup. Between the latest album and songs from earlier periods, it documents forty-two minutes of a tour that had to change drummers to keep going.
- Four songs from The Oncoming Storm share space with The Swarm and Never Cease.
