Context
On June 11, 2000, Guano Apes reach Landgraaf with a second album still fresh. Don't Give Me Names had come out in May, after the success of Proud Like a God. The Pinkpop stage puts side by side the debut that opened the way and the record that has to sustain it.
Sandra Nasić takes the vocals, with Henning Rümenapp on guitar, Stefan Ude on bass and Dennis Poschwatta on drums. Mine All Mine opens the set; Crossing the Deadline and Open Your Eyes follow soon after. The quartet devotes most of the show to the new album, without dropping Lords of the Boards.
Big in Japan comes near the end, before Wash It Down closes the Megaland set. The band continues the Don't Give Me Names tour throughout 2000. Twenty-five years later, the festival archive releases the full recording, preserving the meeting of the first two albums.
- Big in Japan comes before Wash It Down at the close.
