Context
At 11 p.m., the heat of the day gives way to the cold of the Colfiorito plateau. On July 31, 2024, Blind Guardian open the first night of Montelago, a festival with Celtic roots surrounded by hills and campsites. It is the band's only Italian stop that year, still on the road with The God Machine.
Imaginations From the Other Side opens the journey. Behind the musicians, the screen projects album and single covers while Blood of the Elves and Violent Shadows present the recent era. André Olbrich and Marcus Siepen flank Hansi Kürsch. On The Bard's Song, the singer steps back and hands the space to the voices of the crowd.
Lost in the Twilight Hall closes the main set, but the farewell takes four songs. Sacred Worlds opens the encore; Lord of the Rings and Valhalla extend the crowd singing before Mirror Mirror. After Montelago, the schedule continues through the European festivals. The recording preserves this meeting between German power metal and a field devoted to Celtic culture.
- Hansi hands The Bard's Song over to the voices of the crowd.
