Context
Under the August sun at Catton Park, Lost Society arrives at Bloodstock with a transformation already underway. The thrash of the early albums gives way to metalcore, and three singles preview If The Sky Came Down. On August 13, 2022, the band's next step already takes the main stage.
Samy Elbanna moves across the stage and seeks a connection with the crowd while sharing guitar duties with Arttu Lesonen. Mirko Lehtinen holds down the bass, with Taz Fagerström on drums. The opener, 112, establishes the focus on recent material; Blood on Your Hands, Into Eternity and No Absolution bridge the gap to the previous album.
Stitches closes the performance before the new album hits stores in October. The recording preserves this interval: the songs are already circulating as singles and finding room at festivals, but the full album is still to come. The full Bloodstock footage captures a band presenting its new direction without turning the show into a retrospective.
- What Have I Done appears just ten days after its release as a single.
