Lost Society formed in Jyväskylä, Finland, in 2010, led by guitarist and vocalist Samy Elbanna. The band started out playing thrash metal on albums such as Fast Loud Death, Terror Hungry and Braindead. On 2020's No Absolution and 2022's If the Sky Came Down, it incorporated metalcore, groove metal and nu metal, leaving behind some of the thrash sound of its early work.
