Context
In September 2011, Chico César returns to downtown São Paulo to revisit the songs that first set him on his path. Sixteen years earlier, Aos Vivos had introduced his voice and acoustic guitar on record. Now, three nights at Teatro FECAP bring that repertoire to the screen without abandoning the stripped-down approach.
Chico leads Béradêro, Mama África and Tambores with vocals and acoustic guitar. Dani Black joins him on À primeira vista and Dança, bringing together two generations also connected offstage. Dúvida cruel meets Luzia; Templo unfolds into San Vicente and Lia de Itamaracá. This return makes room for encounters, not just repetition.
In 2012, the performances arrive on DVD through Biscoito Fino, and the project gets a launch show at Auditório Ibirapuera. The 1995 debut is no longer just the starting point of his career: it becomes material for a new recording, with Dani taking the place previously open to guests.
- À primeira vista and Dança feature Dani Black.
