Context
In 2010, Beto Guedes returns to the stage in Belo Horizonte with a less predictable listening experience in mind. The biggest hits had already filled his first DVD. Now, a fan vote helps choose other songs to take shape at the Grande Teatro do Palácio das Artes.
Beto sings accompanied by guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, winds and strings. O Medo de Amar É o Medo de Ser Livre leads the way. Célio Balona joins in on Rio Doce and Quatro; Daniela Mercury shares vocals on Luz e Mistério and Meu Ninho, the latter also featuring Wagner Tiso on piano.
The recording appears on CD, released in 2010, and DVD, in 2011, through Biscoito Fino. Outros Clássicos is Beto's second audiovisual release and shifts the focus of the retrospective: rather than repeating the biggest hits, it preserves another part of the catalog, with room for Nena, Tanto and Lágrima de Amor.
- Meu Ninho brings together Daniela Mercury, Wagner Tiso and Célio Balona.
