Context
On August 15, 2026, Nevermore reaches Carhaix-Plouguer in the rebuilt lineup's first year of shows. The debut had taken place in April, in Istanbul. Jeff Loomis and Van Williams revive the band with three new members, without Warrel Dane, who died in 2017, and without founding bassist Jim Sheppard.
At Motocultor, Berzan Önen takes the microphone, Jack Cattoi shares guitars with Loomis and Semir Özerkan is on bass. My Acid Words opens the recording. Dead Heart in a Dead World supplies five songs, while This Godless Endeavour takes the longest stretch among the setlist markers. Enemies of Reality closes the run.
The multi-camera shoot is edited live by the IMPULS’ LIVE team and reaches the public in October as a document of this comeback. The next steps already include work on a new album and the Liminal Spaces European tour, announced for 2027. Here, though, the reunion still goes through the songs that survived the band's interruption.
- Five songs from Dead Heart in a Dead World carry the show.
