Context
After more than a decade without touring, Moby returns to European arenas to celebrate 25 years of Play. On September 21, 2024, Antwerp's Sportpaleis hosts the third stop of this comeback. The celebration also funds his cause: animal rights.
On stage, guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and strings share space with the voices of Nadia Christine Duggin and Choklate. Lady Blackbird returns after her opening set for Walk With Me and Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? The encore changes direction with Ring of Fire before the final electronic surge.
Antwerp remains the only filmed show of this European tour. In November, the film reaches the public through ARTE Concert, preserving a celebration that does not settle for playing Play from start to finish. Among songs from other phases, the record's anniversary takes on the scale of a return to the stage.
