Lady Blackbird

Marley Munroe grew up in Farmington, New Mexico, singing in church and recording Christian music before adopting the name Lady Blackbird. After years working as a backing singer and moving through different styles, she released the album Black Acid Soul in 2021, which introduced her as a jazz and soul interpreter. In 2024, she returned with Slang Spirituals, a record that gathers original songs and covers.
