Context
On April 20, 2024, HVOB's electronics fill the great hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus. Tickets had sold out in two days. For Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, playing at home also means opening another front: a lighting design created and programmed by the musicians themselves debuts that night.
On stage, Müller handles vocals and synthesizers, Wallner runs the electronics and Alexander Schuster plays drums. Capture Casa, Bruise and Eyes Alive tie the performance to TOO, the most recent album. What They Gave Me appears before reaching streaming platforms; Dogs and Jack close the journey.
The visual concept continues as The Silver Cage and goes on a world tour in 2025. Before that, ARTE turns the night into a concert film, released in October 2024. The film preserves the starting point of a cycle that brings together music, light and questions of freedom and belonging.
- What They Gave Me is part of the show before its release as a single.
