Context
On February 19, 2026, a theater abandoned for more than seventy years welcomes Sébastien Tellier and four musicians. There is no audience. A few weeks after the arrival of Kiss the Beast, the Frenchman takes over the Théâtre de Mirecourt for Passengers, which brings performances to unconventional spaces.
Tellier opens the session at the piano with La Ritournelle. Roche and Cochon Ville share space with Mouton, Naïf de Cœur, Parfum Diamant, Thrill of the Night and Loup, from the new album. Drums, guitar, bass and keyboards back the singer; L'Amour et la Violence precedes the closing Sexual Sportswear.
The recording circulates in March through ARTE Concert, directed by Sébastien Lefebvre and produced by The Shift. The reunion with the broadcaster follows another audience-free performance in 2020, during the public health restrictions. This time the absence of spectators is a choice: the empty theater is part of the program's idea.
