Context
In February, a Nantes brewery hosts a celebration marked on the calendar for March. The Little Atlantique Brewery becomes the setting for the sixth edition of ARTE Concert's Piano Day. Among the works prepared for the occasion is the first live meeting of Christian Löffler and Meredi.
On the LAB stage, the two present their first joint compositions. Löffler brings a path between ambient, house and techno; Meredi, her work as a pianist and composer. The idea is not a brief guest spot: the collaboration sits at the center of the performance, conceived especially for this meeting.
The February 4 recording circulates in March, in the programming dedicated to Piano Day. ARTE Concert and Sourdoreille turn the one-off creation into a recording of about 41 minutes. What remains is the public beginning of a partnership, before any long shared history.
